The thing is...are their meaningful alternatives? Will we have more success if we switch off our pattern-seeking synapses?

It seems like many researchers are drawn in by an interest in one aspect: UFOs, ghosts or bigfoot. From there, they interpret as much as possible through that blinkered interest. Maybe instead of two or three boxes, it's actually many, many more? Perhaps the stimulus for ghosts (apparitions) is one shared by those who once experienced the 'humanoid encounters?'

Could some hoax aspects be a part of the deceptive nature of the varied phenomena? It's hard to know and the human instrument that describes/interprets/defines the experience (like you say) is far out unreliable and even dependent on the ability to share communication with others.

Over the years, I've experienced some small few incidents that, at the time, seemed distinctly 'paranormal.' As time passes, their certainty is corroded by subsequent knowledge or new experiences. In contrast, others embellish them over time...

I guess the procedural approach of asking the right questions in the immediate aftermath of an incident is key? Failing that, writing down as much as possible would help.

Personally, the whole field fascinates me and I've long since abandoned the search for 'Truth.' :)Kandinskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11598864214791609926noreply@blogger.com
